Two people died in a house fire early Wednesday, firefighters said.
MABLETON, Ga. (AP) -- Two people died in a house fire early Wednesday, firefighters said.

By the time fire trucks arrives six minutes after a 911 call, the small, wood-frame house was engulfed in flames and part of the roof had collapsed, said Cobb County fire Lt. Dan Dupree.

``The initial call from the neighbors indicated the occupants may still be inside,'' Dupree said. ``After knocking the volume of the fire down to make entry, (firefighters) located two bodies inside.''

The victims have not been identified, but Dupree said they appear to be elderly.

The cause fire is unknown, but Dupree said it was likely accidental.
