A Toyota Corolla slammed into the side of a Broward Sheriff's Office Fire-Rescue truck that was on its way to a call on Wednesday.
No one was seriously injured, but the car's driver and two passengers were transported to Plantation General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, said BSO spokeswoman Liz Calzadilla.
Engine 14 was headed north on Northwest 31st Ave. to the Ecstasy Sea Club in response to a report of a small fire, said Calzadilla. Meanwhile, Danielle Monique Boyd, 30, of Fort Lauderdale, was traveling east on Broward Blvd. with her son, Ray Boyd, 9, and her mother, Leola Richardson, 52. The accident happened at around 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon at the 3100 block of West Broward Blvd., she said.
