Mayor Bloomberg's anxious security detail hustled the mayor into his van after angry cops and firefighters turned up at a Greenwich Village town-hall meeting last night to demand a new contract.

"You stink, Mike! You're garbage!" screamed one of about 200 protesters as Bloomberg left the meeting on West 10th Street.

Patrick Lynch, president of the Patrolmen's Benevolent Association, warned that his members were growing increasingly frustrated.

"What we're afraid of is we won't be able to control our members as we move forward," he said.

Mayoral spokesman Ed Skyler said Bloomberg "is not going to be intimidated into making a bad deal for the city."

During the 90-minute meeting, Bloomberg addressed issues ranging from development to porn shops in the West Village and received a standing ovation.
