GRUETLI-LAAGER, Tenn. (AP) -- A 3-year-old boy died in a house fire that an investigator said Friday was apparently accidental.
Firefighters recovered the body of Joseph Kalmar under a bed in the house that burned about 4:06 p.m. Thursday, Grundy County investigator Dennis Womack said.
The child's mother fled the burning house with two other children and they were not injured, Womack said.
He said fire officials were continuing an investigation but the cause appeared to be accidental. He said the child's mother was sleeping on a couch and awoke to discover the blaze.
