GRANTS PASS, Ore. (AP) -- A three-alarm blaze at a Southern Oregon coffee chain's warehouse caused $1.5 million worth of damage, fire officials said Monday.
The fire at the Dutch Brothers warehouse near Grants Pass broke out Sunday night at around 6:20 p.m. It was difficult for fire crews to extinguish, authorities said, because of intense heat and smoke.
Firefighters were evacuated from the warehouse just before its roof caved in; two firefighters who were hit by falling debris, and four others suffering from heat exhaustion were taken to a local hospital, where they were treated and released.
Dutch Brothers owners said the 22,000 square foot building contained three large coffee roasting machines, coffee, vehicles, and business records.
Fire investigations were looking for a cause of the blaze.
