WASHINGTON (AP) -- Fire investigators spent Monday looking for whoever threw a brick through a school window, then followed it with lit fireworks. The result was a blaze that did $15,000 in damage.

Firefighters were called to Drew Elementary School in Northeast Washington late Sunday night. Authorities said the brick and fireworks were tossed into a first floor classroom, but the fire produced enough smoke to cause damage to the upper floors.

``It was deliberately done'' and being labeled arson, said Alan Etter, a spokesman for the District of Columbia Fire and Emergency Medical Services Department. No one was hurt.
