Salt Lake City, UT -- Firefighters are still on the scene of a big hay fire near the town of Lake Shore. Investigators say it appears the huge blaze was intentionally set.
The fire is just south and west of Provo Bay on the south end of Utah Lake. The Utah County Sheriff's Office says three haystacks burned. At least two of them are big haystacks with possibly 700-800 bails of hay in each location. The fire started at about four a.m. and it could burn for a long time. The flames are contained at this time.
The first haystack fire threatened a barn. The owner was out fighting the fire until firefighters got there to help. The barn is ok, but the fire did spread to two other haystacks. Sheriff
