Several Indiana Fire Departments Needed To Tackle Fire At Strip Mall

Greenwood) - Several fire crews battled a fire at a strip mall on the city's southside for several hours Saturday morning.

The fire was at the Vista Run strip mall in Greenwood.

Firefighters from Greenwood and at least seven other departments brought the three alarm fire under control just after 8:00 a.m.

The fire erupted before 7:00 a.m. Saturday morning in the building near Emerson & Main Street.

Lieutenant Tom Kite, the Public Information Officer from the Greenwood Fire Department, says, "Upon arriving on the scene the flames were through the roof, in the area of Blake's Photography. We went to third alarm upon arrival. We feel like we have a pretty good stop on the fire, at the Catfish Blues, and then Beezer Mortgage Company."

Investigators are still trying to determine the cause of the fire and say no one was injured.
