A fire erupted at a kennel in Kingwood Township, leveling the wooden shelter and killing eight dogs that were boarded there.
A fire erupted at a kennel in Kingwood Township early yesterday morning, leveling the wooden shelter and killing eight dogs that were boarded there, authorities said.

The fire at Carriage House Kennels on Barbertown Point Breeze Road began some time before 8 a.m. When firefighters arrived, the kennel was engulfed in flames 60 feet high.

"It was just a very unfortunate accident," said Bill Plass, assistant chief at the Kingwood Fire Company.
