MORRILTON, Ark. (AP) -- Officials in Morrilton are looking into why there was not water flowing from two of three fire hydrants near a house that burned.

Mayor Stewart Nelson says the house was fully in flames when police reported the Thursday night fire and that working hydrants may not have saved it. But Nelson says he still wants answers from the water company on why the hydrants were dry.

In 1997, the city ran into similar problems and found seven of the city's 291 hydrants were not working.
