Christmas Comes Early For 200 Kentucky Firefighters; 35 Departments Get Donation From Local Charity

The non-profit organization "Helping Our Own" donated around nineteen tons of equipment to thirty fire departmentsin eight Kentucky counties.
Christmas came early this year for more than two hundred eastern Kentucky fire fighters.

The non-profit organization "Helping Our Own" donated around nineteen tons of equipment to thirty fire departments from eight eastern Kentucky counties Wednesday.

"The equipment is just about every kind of fire equipment that a firefighter cam imagine. Estimated value would be someplace between two and four million used value," Mark Warnick said.

Among many other items the Michigan based organization gave away three trucks, 250 sets of turnout gear and three miles of fire hose.
