Oct. 7, 2004
The Brook Road branch had to call in the Hazmat team after an unidentified white powdery substance was discovered in the building.
Officials tell 8News that some postal employees were unloading palettes of mail around 10:30pm Wednesday night when the substance came out of one of the packages.
The Hazmat team came in and the area was roped off. A sample of the substance was taken to a lab to determine what it was.
The tests came back negative.
