McCOMB, Miss. (AP) -- A mobile home fire in rural Pike County early Friday resulted in two deaths, authorities said.
Officials said Roland Lawrence, and his wife, Lalanya Fuselier Lawrence, 35, died in the fire in the Bogue Chitto Yacht Club community in the southeast part of the county.
Deputy Coroner Jason Jones pronounced the two dead at 3:10 a.m.
Progress Volunteer Fire Chief Gary McKenzie said units were on the scene 10 minutes after getting the call but the home was ``already on the ground when we arrived, flat on the ground.''
He said the cause of the blaze was under investigation.
The couple had just moved to the residence from New Orleans within the past few of months, Jones said.
