COLONIE -- A pesky fire tore through three buildings at a pallet company in an industrial area along Railroad Avenue Thursday afternoon.

Workers at the Albany Pallet & Box Company at 26 Railroad Ave. called police around noon and reported the fast-moving blaze. No one was injured in the fire and investigators are trying to determine what sparked it, authorities said.

Fuller Road Fire Department Chief Michael M. Romano Jr. said the fire already had engulfed one of the company's buildings as firefighters arrived.

"We had flames coming out the back of the building," he said, adding firefighters concentrated their efforts on preventing the blaze from spreading to other nearby buildings.
