Fort Worth firefighters will rappel from the former Bank One Tower for several hours today in a training exercise. The exercise will include a simulated rescue of a person stranded on the exterior of the high-rise building.

Fire Department officials ask residents not to call 911 if they notice anything unusual around the building today from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The 37-story building, now known as the Tower, is being converted into condominiums and retail space. The construction allows firefighters to practice while the building is unoccupied.
