25th Drunk-Drive Bust For New York's Bravest

May 22, 2004 -- A veteran FDNY lieutenant became the 25th firefighter to be busted for driving while intoxicated this year after he was pulled over yesterday while driving on the wrong side of a road in Staten Island, cops said.

August Orlando, 35, of New Dorp was driving home at about 2:30 a.m. when cops spotted his blue 2003 Honda sedan cruising east in the westbound lane of Victory Boulevard, police said.

Cops pulled him over at Slosson Avenue and Victory Boulevard. Police said Orlando's breath stunk of booze and that he failed a Breathalyzer test.

Orlando is a 10-year veteran of the Fire Department and is assigned to Engine Co. 276 in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn.
