One Phoenix firefighter has posted an $81,000 bond, while another current and one former firefighter are still in jail Wednesday morning.
The three were arrested Tuesday in connection to an arson-for-hire plot that resulted in the destruction of a $1.5 million northwest Valley home last December.
Firefighters Chris Bishop and Joe Avey work at Station 18. Darryl Lanning, 43, a former Phoenix firefighter, was arrested at his home Monday night, the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office said.
During an interview with detectives, Lanning allegedly admitted to committing two arsons and implicated two fellow Phoenix firefighters. Lanning also told detectives that he was paid to torch the home.
