SOUTH BRUNSWICK - Fire tore through a two-story house on the Central Jersey Hindu Association's property on Route 27 in the Kendall Park section yesterday afternoon, police said.

The house, residence for two priests and their families, was heavily damaged by the 4:50 p.m. fire, which may have been caused by two boys playing with fire, said police spokesman Detective James Ryan.

Ryan said the boys, ages 3 and 5, who live in the house, were in an attic that was converted to a playroom and came running downstairs reporting a fire. When one of the boys' mother looked up into the room, she saw flames and evacuated the house.
