LAWRENCE - A malfunctioning exhaust fan sent smoke billowing through the Tandem Healthcare of Lawrenceville nursing home yesterday morning, police said.

About 100 people were evacuated from the facility at Franklin Corner Road and Princeton Pike during the 7:05 a.m. incident while firefighters extinguished a small fire and dispersed a smoke condition, police spokesman Lt. Charles Edgar said.
