    One person was killed in a fire that ripped through an apartment in an East Side high-rise this morning.
    (East Side-WABC, May 5, 2004) -- One person was killed in a fire that ripped through an apartment in an East Side high-rise this morning.

    Flames and smoke shot out the window of the 10th floor apartment building at 25 Sutton Place just before 7:30 a.m. One person has been pronounced dead in the fire.

    The fire is being brought under control.
