Truck Crashes Into Pennsylvania Fire Company Pickup Truck; Four Firefighters Injured

Four Skippack firefighters were injured when an out-of-control truck crashed into their fire company pickup truck.

UPPER FREDERICK -- Members of the Skippack Fire Company had planned to play a friendly game of softball Sunday night, but their plans were quickly ruined when an out-of-control truck crashed into their fire company pickup truck.

Four Skippack firefighters were injured in the accident, which occurred at the intersection of Neiffer Road at Route 73 at 6 p.m. Sunday.

The driver of the fire company pickup, Leonard Eugene Creitz, 23, of Harleysville, was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital for treatment of neck injuries.

Sean Parkins, 18, and Jason Parkins, 17, both of Creamery, were taken to Pottstown Memorial Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries. Steve Burzynski, 18, of Skippack was taken to Grandview Hospital in Sellersville, where he was treated for a broken thumb and lacerations to his face.
