A firefighter injured in the three-alarm blaze that swept through the Sharon Arms apartment complex Saturday was treated and released from the hospital with a concussion, a fire official said yesterday.

Keith Mapps, a volunteer with the Groveville Fire Co. in Hamilton, was taken to the hospital by ambulance after a piece of ceiling tile fell on him, Groveville fire Capt. Ron Murdza said.

Mapps was one of numerous firefighters from several townships who extinguished the fire, which eventually destroyed 16 of the 24 apartments in the complex's B building.
