Fire Hits Queens Apartment Building

Fire crews are dousing the hot spots of an apartment fire that hit Friday morning in the Jamaica section of Queens. It broke out at about 6:30 a.m. at 173rd Street and Jamaica Avenue.

Fire crews are dousing the hot spots of an apartment fire that hit Friday morning in the Jamaica section of Queens. It broke out at about 6:30 a.m. at 173rd Street and Jamaica Avenue.

Crews quickly got the fire under control.

Several police officers are being treated for smoke inhalation.
