Mulch Machine Triggers Fire, One Worker Injured In New Jersey

FRANKLIN TWP. -- One worker was injured Tuesday when a mulching machine ignited a fire in a huge mulch pile at the T& M Pallet Co. off Edison Road, a fire official said.

Smoke from the blaze was visible for miles.

Franklin Township Fire Company Chief Sonny Read said the fire had spread about 20 feet into surrounding brush before firefighters arrived about 1 p.m.
