CHICAGO -- Chicago police said a fire that destroyed a downtown clothing store early Saturday morning appears to have been arson.
Police spokeswoman Amina Greer said witnesses told officers that a man first threw a bottle through the window of Fashion Nation Incorporated, and then threw a second bottle, which was filled with a flaming liquid.
The fire broke out around 3:20 a.m. Saturday on the ground floor of a 17-story building.
No injuries were reported.
The fire was contained to the clothing store, but smoke spread throughout the building.
The fire did not damage nearby buildings.
Police said they were searching last night for two men wearing dark clothing and hooded sweatshirts.
