PRINCETON BOROUGH - A break in a natural gas line closed Princeton High School yesterday morning.

The break occurred at 8:54 a.m., when a worker from Dean Development Co., a subcontractor from Monroe, accidently struck a 4-inch-wide gas line while excavating near the high school, police said.

The break was in a service line extending from the gas main to the school, said Renee DiNardi, spokeswoman for Public Service Electric & Gas Co. The worker was installing storm drains, DiNardi said.
