Yesterday's fire in a home under construction at the corner of 61st Street and Hudson Avenue was deemed accidental
WEST NEW YORK - Yesterday's fire in a home under construction at the corner of 61st Street and Hudson Avenue was deemed accidental, said officials from the North Hudson Regional Fire and Rescue.

Firefighters got the first call on the blaze at about 5:33 a.m., Fire Chief Brion McEldowney said. Responding to the scene, they found the fire burning on both the second and third floors of the building and sounded a second alarm at 5:46 a.m. In all, about 45 firefighters responded, McEldowney said.

No one was injured fighting the blaze.
