Philadelphia Woman Burned in Auto Fire

In West Philadelphia, police are trying to determine whether a car fire that sent a woman to a hospital was deliberately set or was it an accident.

T he fire happened Sunday afternoon in the 1200 block of North 55th Street.

A man taking out his trash saw the minivan, and the woman, burning. He quickly grabbed his fire extinguisher and doused the flames.

Firefighters rushed the woman to the hospital. She has burns over a quarter of her body.
