DEERFIELD TWP. -- The letter from the township to Carmel Fire Company has yet to arrive, but Chief Larry April said the two factions are not fighting and he hopes a resolution to the township's request, to have the company's vehicles put in their name, can be worked out.

"The fire company has not seen the letter or the law," he said. "Our company is researching and we want to see the law before we comply."

Committeeman Cosmo Laurella said Monday night that he talked with Mayor John Stanzione and was told April was on his way to pick up the letter at 1:30 p.m. Monday afternoon.
