Two Animals Killed In Florida Barn Fire

A horse and a cow were killed in a barn fire Sunday afternoon in southwest Miami-Dade County.

The barn was engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived at 16150 S.W. 208 Avenue, Lt. Eric Baum, spokesman for Miami-Dade Fire-Rescue. Firefighters tried first to protect an attached house, which survived the fire with minimal damage, he said.

No people or other animals were injured.

The cause has not been determined. A fire investigator was on the scene.
