Several residents were left temporarily homeless by a two-alarm fire that struck a midtown Bayonne building early yesterday.
No one was reported hurt in the fire in the two-and-a-half story frame house on Kennedy Boulevard between 31st and 32nd streets, Fire Chief Thomas Lynch said.
Cause of the fire is still under investigation but "it doesn't appear to be incendiary," Lynch said. "It may have been triggered by the errant use of candles," he said.
