Hercules Apollo will be eating better than ever for the next year.
The hero Labrador who alerted his owner to a Queens house fire on New Year's Eve, saving his life, was presented yesterday with a year's supply of Purina dog food from Petland Discounts and a state Assembly proclamation.
"But for Hercules I would have been in much worse trouble," said owner Thomas Prasso, 77, a Fresh Meadows ex-mail carrier.
Queens Assemblyman Brian McLaughlin said Hercules was a "companion with commitment."
