One member of the Monroe Fire Department was quick to respond to a truck fire at midafternoon Thursday, since the truck in question is owned by firefighter Nathan Landis.
Landis was at a relative's farm on County Rd. 200 North when the engine caught fire around 3 p.m. and left the older-model vehicle a total loss.
No one was hurt and the department, which responded to the call, was at the scene only about 30 minutes, according to Fire Chief Russell Cook.
