OMAHA, Neb. (AP) -- Fire crews were fighting a three-alarm fire at a recycling plant in north Omaha late into the evening Thursday.
Assistant Fire Chief Jim Love said seven engines, three aerial engines and more than 50 firefighters battled the blaze, which shot plumes of smoke visible from the opposite side of the city.
Love said the fire at the Omaha Paper Stock Co. Inc.'s warehouse was first reported at 8:18 p.m.
Considering the size of the fire and the amount of paper in the building, Love said firefighters would likely be at the fire for a while.
``When we go the Paper Company, it's usually an all-nighter,'' Love said.
Love said there have been several fires in the past at the plant.
There has been no speculation on the cause of the fire and Love said there were no reports of injuries.
