UDDINGSTON, Scotland (AP) -- Two more people died Sunday of injuries suffered in a Scotland nursing home fire, bringing the death toll to 12, police said.

The small fire broke out Saturday in a storage cupboard at Rosepark nursing home south of Glasgow. It was not known what started the fire. Most of the victims died of smoke inhalation, police said. Five people were injured, and two of them were in critical condition Sunday.

Firemaster Jeff Ord, of the Strathclyde Fire Brigade, has said he did not know of a larger loss of life in any British nursing home fire since the government began regulating the homes in the 1960s.

The nursing home's chaplain, the Rev. Michael Lyall, remembered the victims during a service Sunday at the nearby Viewpark Parish Church.
