Fire forced the evacuation of a Nashville senior citizens home Wednesday night.
Fire officials say they received several calls of smoke and flames on the fourth floor of the Argyle Senior Apartments. They say the facility's sprinkler system kicked on, putting out the flames by the time they arrived.
Nashville Fire Department representative Jaquin Toon said, "This is just evidence that the sprinklers are very beneficial, especially in high-rises housing the elderly."
Fortunately, no one was injured. Authorities are still trying to determine the exact cause of the fire.
