NEW YORK (AP) -- A 63-year-old woman was killed and two firefighters were hurt in a two-alarm fire in the Woodhaven section of Queens, authorities said.
The woman, whose name was not released, was found unconcious and died at Jamaica Hospital, police said. Both firefighters were in stable condition, the fire department said.
The fire broke out just after 11:30 p.m. Friday on the first floor of 85-33 98th Street, a two-story private home, according to Firefighter Paul Iannizzotto, a department spokesman.
About 110 firefighters responded to the blaze and brought it under control at about 12:06 a.m. Saturday, he said. The cause of the fire was under investigation.
