Brooklyn Warehouse Blaze Kills One

In Brooklyn, tragedy struck early Sunday morning. A blaze at a vacant warehouse killed one person, fire officials said.

No information on the victim is available at this time.

Fire Department spokesman Sean Johnson said the building was a one-story commercial building on Avenue I. He also reports that one firefighter suffered minor injuries in the all-hands fire.

The fire happened at 3:20 a.m. It took about 20 minutes to get under control. Sixty firefighters and 12 trucks responded.

The cause, Johnson said, is being investigated.
