Fire Prevention Week In California Begins Oct. 5

Fire Prevention week is the week of Oct. 5 and this year’s theme is “When fire strikes: Get out! Stay out!” The Carpinteria-Summerland Fire Protection District will also kick-off the week by displaying “Change Your Clock, Change Your Battery” banners at both stations and on the fire engines to remind the community to change their smoke alarm batteries when daylight savings time ends on the weekend of Oct. 25
