A crime suspect evading police died early Friday morning after his car slammed the front of a fire truck during a high-speed chase in Aspen Hill, a fire official said.
The driver, Thomas Bowden of Bowie, was flown to Baltimore Shock Trauma Center, where he died of his injuries shortly after midnight, said Pete Piringer, spokesman for Montgomery County Department of Fire and Rescue Services.
Montgomery County police and fire officials were called to the scene of an assault and burglary at the 3900 block of Chesterwood Drive in Aspen Hill shortly before midnight on Thursday, Piringer said.
