An Assistant Fire Chief for Kent Island Volunteer Fire Department died Wednesday after repeated visits to the Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore following a September 16, 2001 accident
Doug Thomas, 41, Assistant Chief for Kent Island Volunteer Fire Department died Wednesday, July 9 at 6 p.m.

On September 16, 2001 at 10:45 a.m. he was injured while responding to a boat fire along with other firefighters at Kent Island Yacht Club in Chester, Md., according to Fire Captain, Justin Davis.
