While survivors of The Station nightclub inferno testified before a special panel in Rhode Island on Thursday, firefighters took part in a pyrotechnics safety forum at UNH to learn how to avoid such a tragedy.

Matt Shea, of Atlas PyroVision Productions in Jaffrey, puts his hand into a 20 by 20 Stage Gerb. It burns for 20 seconds and reaches heights of about 20 feet. It's similar to the stage pyrotechnics used at The Station nightclub in Rhode Island.
