Northfield Safety Day, hosted by the Northfield fire, ambulance, and police departments, drew hundreds of visitors from all over Central Vermont to see attractions like the New England Search and Rescue dog, interactive live-fire extinguisher demonstrations, and a Jaws of Life car demolition.
