Second Multiple Alarm in Sacramento Damages Apts.

Sacramento City Fire Department Press Release: At 6:32 p.m. the Sacramento Fire Department responded to a report of an apartment fire at 7236 Greenhaven Drive in the Greenhaven/Pocket Area of Sacramento. The first arriving Fire Company, Engine 11, found a two-story apartment with fire from a lower unit extending into the apartment above. Fire Fighters called for a second alarm within four minutes.

The fire severely damaged the apartment on the second story but firefighters were able to keep the flames from running the attic space thereby limiting the fire damage and displacement of occupants. Firefighters battled 100 degree heat with very low humidity
