NISBET - State police are classifying as accidental the death of a Lycoming County man who was killed early Saturday when struck by an unattended vehicle bumped by a fire truck.

Trooper Marsha Barnhart yesterday provided more details about the death of Dennis G. Feist, 48, of Nisbet. It is not a traffic accident because it happened on private property; and at this point of the investigation, criminal charges are not warranted, she said.

Feist was struck down about 2 a.m. Saturday by a Suburban SUV belonging to his brother, Gary, that was bumped by a Nisbet fire truck, causing it to begin moving, Barnhart said yesterday.

Nisbet firefighters and those from several other companies responded to a blaze in one of two mobile homes owned by Gary Feist.

The fire destroyed both of the mobile homes and an old car, Nisbet Chief James Pfleegor said. Dennis Feist lived across Sherwood Lane from the burning homes, Barnhart said.
