IAFF Lauds Decision

In a major victory for Houston Fire Fighters Local 341 and the IAFF, the City Council voted 14-1 to keep four fire fighters on all fire apparatus and reject a nonsensical plan implemented by the city that cut apparatus staffing and utilized quints. The city’s beleaguered mayor was the lone dissenter.
