Late-Night Lightning Strike Causes Church Fire

Rock Hill firefighters worked to contain a smoldering fire into the early hours Sunday after a bolt of lightning from a Saturday night thunderstorm struck the pitched roof of the 50-year-old church at 1004 McDow Ave. Church officials were thankful damage was minimal.
