The three employees of the Memphis Fire Department arrested for forging the will of the late state Rep. Ulysses Jones were all fired Monday, officials said.

Sandra Richards, Avis Langford-Brannon and Beverly Prye were all terminated after an administrative hearing, Memphis Fire Department spokesman Keith Staples said..

Richards, a battalion chief, had been with MFD for 18 years. Prye, also a battalion chief, had been there for 21 years. Langford-Brannon, a firefighter/paramedic, had been with the department for 15 years.

All three were charged with tampering with or fabricating evidence, aggravated perjury and forgery over $60,000.

According to a Probate Court ruling earlier this year, a will leaving the bulk of the late state Rep. Ulysses Jones' $100,000 estate to Sandra Richards was a forgery.
