WASHINGTON (AP) -- A Michigan company is recalling about 25,000 outdoor power equipment engines that could leak gasoline through a misrouted fuel line, posing a fire hazard.

Tecumseh Products Co. of Tecumseh, Mich., has not received any reports of injury, the Consumer Product Safety Commission said Wednesday.

The recalled engines, sold under a variety of brand names, were made for use in snow throwers, chipper-shredders, generators, pressure washers and wheeled leaf blowers. The engines have model numbers HMSK 80 through 110 and HM 80 through 100 printed on the lower left side of the engine housing.

The HMSK models are 8- to 11-horsepower Snow King snow thrower engines, while the HM models are 8- to 10-horsepower utility engines. All the recalled engines have a date-of-manufacture code between 02175 and 02268, followed by the letter C.

The engines were sold between June and November by retailers and dealers nationwide. Sears, Roebuck and Co. distributed a limited number of the recalled engines under its Craftsman brand name. Equipment owners will receive direct mail notice from Sears about the recall.

Consumers can schedule a free engine repair by contacting the company at 1-888-271-4048.
