New Jersey House Fire Kills 4-Year-Old Girl

A girl was killed and three other children and four adults were injured when a fire swept through their Newark home yesterday morning.

One of the surviving youngsters, a 2-year-old boy, was in critical condition in the children's intensive-care unit at University Hospital in Newark, said Rogers Ramsey, a hospital spokesman. The two other children, a girl, 2, and boy, 4, were in fair condition, as were the four adults, Ramsey said.
